Full-Time Paralegal

Peoria, Illinois Office

Lefante Law Offices, P.C. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized full-time Paralegal to join our busy and growing law firm in downtown Peoria.

Our firm focuses on personal injury, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, and civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment, interacting with clients, and taking an active role in supporting attorneys and managing cases.

Responsibilities

The Paralegal will assist with a variety of legal and administrative responsibilities, including:

  • Organizing, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and other case materials
  • Maintaining accurate and organized case files
  • Communicating professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties
  • Assisting attorneys with case preparation and case management
  • Drafting and preparing correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and formatting
  • Managing deadlines, appointments, and case-related tasks
  • Conducting research and gathering information as needed
  • Providing exceptional service and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Performing additional duties to support the attorneys and legal team

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently
  • Professional, dependable, and motivated
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Skilled in grammar, spelling, proofreading, and document preparation
  • Comfortable working with computers and legal technology
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Customer-service oriented and comfortable communicating with clients

Prior paralegal or legal experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates with strong organizational, communication, writing, and administrative skills are encouraged to apply.
